I’ve gone through some changes with the layout, and this is what I came up with.
Round 1:
Round 2:
Round 3:
Round 4+:
Board:
(Taken at the MGM Grand in Vegas. Also, You can substitute Thailand for prize and Marshals for gift tag. 🙂)
Some changes not in the wheel:
I played a game with this layout for a New Year’s Eve bash. I didn’t record it, but I’ll give you the best details.
Contestants:
It’s the end of 2018, so it’s theme is WHEEL INTO 2019. Think of it as Fast Cars mashed with New Years.
Tossup 1: Event
Farah solved ROSE BOWL PARADE for $2,000. (Each tossup is worth $2000.)
Prize on Wheel: Plaza Resort & Spa (5-night stay) 2/ 4-day Daytona 500 race tickets worth $7,950
$10,000 Round: Song/Artist (PRIZE PUZZLE)
After a couple of wrong letter calls (and a LOSE A TURN hit), Sarah picks up the ARCO gift tag and calls a double on $2,500. She buys an E ($500) and then quickly solves OCEAN EYES BY BILLIE EILISH for $5,500 cash and gift tag. It’s also a Prize Puzzle so she also gets a trip to the Hilton Resort in Bali (Indonesia) worth $8,100. That’s $13,600 in cash and prizes for her.
JACKPOT Round: Slogan
Later in the round, Farah does a great deal of work before striking out with a wrong consonant. Faith fills in the rest of the board (and picks up a VOWEL Card) and reads off TASTE THE FEELING for the house minimum of $1,500. She doesn’t get an extra $3,000 with COCA COLA (She thought it was PEPSI instead.).
Scores At This Point:
Faith: $1,500 + VC
Sarah: $13,600
Farah: $2,000
MYSTERY Prize: Suzuki GSX-R750 motorbike worth $12,900
MYSTERY Round: Same Name
In the middle of the round, Faith calls a single on $4,000 and a double on $800. Also, Farah picks up the Daytona Trip along the way. However, when it reaches this point:
HORSE &
P_RCH_SING
PO_ER
That’s where my fuse fumes up. Several wrong letters were called when this much was showing. Not only that, but Farah and Faith both hit Bankrupt! Farah loses $2250 and the Daytona Trip And Faith loses $5,100 and the Vowel Card. Towards the end, Faith hits the MYSTERY next to $300....only to blow it with an incorrect letter call (I think it was Y.). Sarah then gets out of this mess by solving HORSE & PURCHASING POWER for $2,250. By the way, had Faith called the W on the Mystery, she would’ve had the MOTORBIKE if she flipped.
Tossup 2: Place
Sarah blanks and Farah gets PLANETARIUM for the sweep. (I originally did ROSALINA & LUMA (Characters) but threw it out because of some questionable pronounciation.)
Round 4: Food & Drink
At this point, I’ve ran out of time, so this is a full speedup round. Every consonant from now on will be $6,000! ($5,000 + $1,000. Also the first time that I spun that number at home.)
This was a very intense round. Every person had enough money in their banks to win the game, but it was Sarah that gets CRISPY CRUNCHY POPCORN SHRIMP for $48,000!!! (I accidentally gave her $54,000, but then I realized that Sarah called 8 consonants in the puzzle, not 9.)
End Totals:
Sarah: $63,850 (NEW RECORD!)
Faith: $1,500
Farah: $4,000
Sarah will be taking her marvelous talents to Bonus Land! She chooses THING over PHRASE and SHOW BIZ for the Bonus Round category.
$100,000 BONUS ROUND
So, the least that Sarah could win is $63,850. She could get more with a Nissan 370Z or a Dodge Charger. Or she could beat the highest non-Million winner on the actual show ($147,000). She spins up to the W in WHEEL. RSTLNE is employed here.

She chooses MDCA (I then made a joke that this is the combo that almost everyone uses.)
_L_ _ _ _ARD
Category: Thing
She had no clue. Farah, who wasn’t playing here thought it was BLIZZARD (Doesn’t fit the category. Plus, that’s one letter too short.). It was PLUGBOARD. Did she miss out on beating the highest non-Million winner on the show? NO! She loses $25,000 instead! She leaves with an impressive total of $63,850 in cash and prizes! Nice job ma’am!
(If you were wondering, the $100,000 was one space counterclockwise where she landed on.)

(Taken at the MGM Grand in Vegas. Also, You can substitute Thailand for prize and Marshals for gift tag. 🙂)
Some changes not in the wheel:
- The Prize Puzzle happens in every game now.
- The MYSTERY Prize is now a prize within the $10,000-$15,000 range.
