I saw this on the thread for Friday's show, and it seems like a good idea. That way, no crushing losses. Just to add drama?

Same reason they started revealing what's under the mystery wedges when the contestants choose not to pick them up: A lot of viewers like to know what would've/could've happened.

I would argue that not choosing a prize would essentially cut the drama in half. Although not exactly a direct comparison, Wheel 2000 showed that it was awkward to not solve a puzzle and never know what could have been won.
Also, I know the show is called Wheel of Fortune, but would you rather "win" the $1,000,000 right after solving a BR puzzle, or "win" due to a 1 in 24 crapshoot after solving the BR puzzle? Frankly, I believe the former makes me feel more like I did the action that won me the Million, rather than I just got lucky.

^ Doubt it. It would make the show feel a little awkward.

^ Doubt it. It would make the show feel a little awkward. Would you want the contestants to feel awkward about what could e been won? Or worse?
