Reading this article below, it appears perhaps that the appearance limit has changed from once for a lifetime to once every five years, and one of this Friday's contestants specifically stated so. Well, if that's true, how about have some of those Wheel 2000 contestants appear again as adults to win some real cash/prizes? www.thedailyjournal.com/story/news/local/2019/01/16/millville-resident-appear-wheel-fortune/2594684002/I wouldn't be too surprised if it was true, since TPIR did something similar after Drew took over where the appearance limit is no longer once per lifetime (10 years over there). It would just be difficult to appear again since that article stated that a million people applied last year, with the official website the source, and of course only about 600 people (including team episodes) spinning the Wheel each season, meaning that you have a one out of 1666 chance of appearing on the show, which isn't terrible odds compared to certain lottery jackpots, but still very long. We've had a number of relatives appear as contestants recently, though we haven't had any returning contestants (non-consecutive appearances) since the '90s.

I really don't think this is true. They wouldn't take such a huge leap like that, especially not without making a big announcement about it. The online application still says that former contestants from any version are ineligible. gmaslen , you taped with this woman. Did you hear anything about this? Have you kept in touch with Lora after the taping?

I tweeted the author of the article. He confirmed that Lora simply told him there was a five-year rule. He has since "double checked" and confirmed that the rules have not changed. The article has been updated to remove the mention of this false rule and Lora's desire to try again.
Hope Lora doesn't show up at an audition in 2024.
