Here is another Season 5 nighttime episode classic featuring perhaps the most expensive combo of bonus prizes ever offered, and a puzzle that's very fitting for the budget at the time. Airdate figured out given that the Oprah promo is for Thursday and also the mention of the Illinois primary results. Missing most of the closing.

Ouch. A $14,000 car lost to Bankrupt. That's probably worthy of putting on the timeline, as it was most likely the most expensive prize ever lost to Bankrupt until the $16k Caribbean trip was lost a few years back.

I miss these days of Wheel especially when Pat would come over and remove whatever prize the contestants had after hitting Bankrupt.

I know GSN reran the Season 5 episodes but I don't think they ever reran the 1988 portion of this season. Something tells me that they aired the Season 5 episodes when they still had the Shopping format and it was rerun at the time when C-Band, Dish Network and Primestar were the only choices.
