The Daytime Emmys will be held this year on May 5. No word on if anyone will televise them yet. Best game show nods went to Jeopardy!, LMAD, TPIR, Feud, and Millionaire. Best host nods went to Pat, Alex, Steve Harvey, Chris Harrison, and John Michael Higgins of GSN's America Says. Feud, TPIR, J!, LMAD, and Millionaire got nods for directing. In the tech categories, Wheel got no nods, but TPIR, LMAD, and Feud did.

I doubt the way wheel's headed warrants a Daytime emmy anyway (acting more and more like they don't care about the show with each passing moment)

Wheel didn't win Daytime Emmys in the show's formative years in syndication or network but was still often nominated.

I doubt the way wheel's headed warrants a Daytime emmy anyway (acting more and more like they don't care about the show with each passing moment) Millionaire, a show that hasn't lived up to its title in nine years, nor has even had a million-dollar opportunity in five years, is constantly stuck at around a 1.6 in the ratings, and isn't even available in every market, was nominated over a show that has seniority, gives away more money, and has topped the syndie game show ratings a few times this season for the first time in years. There is clearly a bias. If this ends up being Millionaire's last season, watch next year's nominees be the same as this year but with Funny You Should Ask nominated over Wheel.

Just proves how much the interest in daytime programming has declined. They’ve pretty much abandoned their main demographic since the move to a live stream.

Millionaire, a show that hasn't lived up to its title in nine years, nor has even had a million-dollar opportunity in five years, is constantly stuck at around a 1.6 in the ratings, and isn't even available in every market, was nominated over a show that has seniority, gives away more money, and has topped the syndie game show ratings a few times this season for the first time in years. There is clearly a bias. Uh...not necessarily. The fact a given show is older and/or has higher ratings doesn't automatically make it better or good. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, for all its flaws over the years, has at least tried experimenting in major ways. Yes, some of these were duds (Ask the Expert) or outright bombed (that damn Clock), but the fact the show's managed to weather through all that and three host changes in the span of three seasons shows its resilience. Add in the fact it has carryover players, does a bunch of different themed weeks each year rather than a different theme each week, and has a stellar host in Chris Harrison, and I can at least give them a "you tried". ...Which is considerably more than I can say for Wheel, which has been coasting for most of this decade and limits its major experimenting to appearances in other shows (such as Transparent and Fresh Off the Boat) or Lottery Experience stuff they don't even bother putting on YouTube (even though they have to know it'd generate good publicity and ad revenue). All things considered, I think Wheel not getting nominated for Best Game Show is on Wheel/Sony, not the Emmy committee.
