Get that promo, episode 6,969! That's an interesting wedge mashup behind the cake.

They wouldn't dare mention that its the 7000th syndicated episode, with about 11000 episodes altogether adding around 4000 daytime shows over 16 years. Note that Jeopardy!'s 8000th taped episode will air on October 4th and will tape sometime this Summer, Trebek's health depending. They have tagged 65 rerun episodes in SUmemr 1985 as new episodes in their numbering of the shows.

Let's hope it's not as disastrous as the 6000th episode. 5000th episode was alright, but the ending was the ugly part.
Looking forward to this!

That's an interesting wedge mashup behind the cake. I was thinking, "Random layout is random," when I first saw it earlier. I see myself making an illustration based off that sometime. As for the episode itself, I too am hoping all goes well, but we'll see.

It will definitely be acknowledged in some way. There are fancy graphics for it. http://instagr.am/p/BvnZmcClayz But given that this is part of so-called "Big Money Week", which hasn't done anything special in seven years, it will very likely just be a regular game with a few classic clips, a cake-cutting, and a puzzle stretched to be themed towards the occasion. I'll eat one of my Wheel hats if they either have a $7,000 wedge or put a $70,000 envelope in the Bonus Wheel. If anything, maybe they'll give $7,000 to a SPIN ID holder, but I'm not holding my breath for that, either. The $5,000 wedge is visible in the above photo and in one of Wheel's Instagram stories, but those were likely taken after the taping finished and they likely filmed a sixth episode with normal stakes like they did during Wheel 6000 week.

So Wheel was asking for congrats videos to be sent for the 7,000th episode, so I sent one in the other day and they messaged me saying they want to use it for a promotional video! I'm not sure how exactly it's going to be used but I'm still really excited!

Hey, at least it's something to give away $35,000.

I'd still rather have a $7,000 wedge even if they kept ringing the Final Spin bell when they knew it would be out of Pat's range.
Heaven knows what Mike Richards would have done since over at Price, he loves to reflect "milestones" in the game stakes.
