11/12/2016 (Saturday First-Run): Dan/Alex/Edward

This episode is very rare because it officially aired in first-run on a Saturday for the only known time in Wheel history thanks to Election Day shifting the days around. Due to the fact that many affiliates air Saturday Wheel at random times, or not at all, especially during football season, this episode did not air in many areas.

On ABC affiliates, that day's College Football game ran extremely long. Stations that scheduled Wheel for 7:00PM ET were forced to pre-empt the show entirely, while other stations that scheduled local news for 7:00 and Wheel at 7:30 were forced to run the news through the 7:30 time slot straight to 8:00. Many top ABC affiliates such as WABC New York, WLS Chicago, and WPVI Philadelphia did not air this episode at all.

Despite not being seen in much of the country, Wheel never reran this episode, either. It also didn't help that since the schedule shift was done at the last minute, many providers' listings did not denote the Saturday airing as a new episode. Notice Edward's DVR titles the episode "America's Game", which was the theme of that week's originally-intended Saturday rerun, which was instead shifted up to air on Election Day since not many stations would be airing Wheel that day, anyway. Jeopardy! pulled the same tactic when Election Day 2004 fell during Ken Jennings' run, and one of his episodes officially aired on a Saturday in first-run.
