With Wheel being in syndication for the longest time, I sometimes wonder if a new Daytime Wheel series could work. I've written down some ways a Daytime Series could work, which leads to this format:
GAME FLOW
The game itself will follow the traditional format of the show as of Season 31, with some differences in $$ values.
TOSS UP #1: $500
.
.
TOSS UP #2: $1000
.
.
ROUND 1:
(These Wheels were redesigned numerous times, these are my most recent designs. Assets From Mario, Wheelgenius, & gamecrazyH)
This is a Normal Round, with $1000 as Top Value. There are a few classic pick-ups returning, namely the Free Spin, Double Play, and SURPRISE. The WILD CARD is in its proper place as per usual, along with a $100,000 wedge, which is the Daytime counterpart to the Million Dollar Wedge.
.
.
ROUND 2 (MYSTERY ROUND):
The Mystery Round follows, with a PRIZE being added and $1500 as Top Dollar. The Prize beneath the Mystery wedge is $5000, with the other wedge hiding a BANKRUPT, as per usual.
.
.
ROUND 3 (EXPRESS ROUND):
As of this round, the Free Spin and Double Play are removed if left unclaimed. Top Value stays at $1500. The EXPRESS works as usual, with a $500 value. This also the last chance to snag any remaining pick-ups off the Wheel.
.
.
TOSS UP #3: $1500
.
.
ROUND 4+ (SPEEDUP TERRITORY):
4th round onward, Speedup can occur at any moment. The top value is $2000. After the Speed-Up, the player with highest total plays the Bonus Round, prior to which, they choose from 1 of 3 categories.
.
.
BONUS ROUND:
.
.
The highest scoring player is the "Champion", and plays the Bonus Round. The Bonus Wheel is my own work . The breakdown for the Bonus Wheel is as follows:
5-$10,000
4-$15,000
4-TRIP
3-CAR
3-$20,000
2-$25,000
2-$30,000
1-$50,000 ($100,000 if Wedge is Present)
Regular Bonus Round procedures are in place here also.
.
.
Unlike the Syndicated series, the winners return for another game, and can play up to THREE (3) times.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RETURNING CHAMPIONS
As mentioned above, the winning contestants return on the next show to defend their Championship, and are allowed up to 3 shows. If a contestant wins all 3 shows, they retire undefeated and qualify for the end of season Tournament of Champions. Another means of qualifying for the ToC is by passing a winnings threshold of $50,000 minimum, anything more is still for the contestant's to take home.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
During the final two weeks of the season, the Tournament of Champions takes place. The 18 highest scoring players from across the season return for a chance at up to an extra ONE MILLION DOLLARS. The 18 players are grouped by division
GOLD DIVISION

BRONZE DIVISION

Over the course of those two weeks, 5 of 6 quaterfinal matches happen in the first week, with the last happening the following Monday. The next two shows are semi-final games, with the winner advancing to the "Friday Finals". The show before is the "Wild Card" game (pun intended). The three highest scoring players among non-winners in the quaterfinals play this game to earn the final spot for the Finals. The winner of the Finals being the grand champion, and proceed to play a Bonus Round with a $1,000,000 top prize, with $100,000 being the minimum prize.
Please feel free to express your thoughts/comments on my little theory.
