Hey everybody! Been wanting to post this for a long time. It's far from done, especially the electronics, but good enough to put here! I'm in a rush so I'll fill this out with more info later. For now: Credit to usual suspects MarioGS and wheelgenius for wedge, token, etc. designs and also MASSIVE shoutout to paranoia2mb for helping me along the way. Video below!

I know this is unfinished, but it is incredible. By far the best homemade Wheel I've seen. Well done!

I want to know how you programmed the chasing lights! That is KILLER!

Thanks you two! An Arduino microcontroller does the heavy lifting for making the lights work. Things I still want to implement include lighting those triangles and making them flash on a player's turn, a digital puzzleboard (with lighted border), and a bonus wheel. Those are all in progress already but much less far along than the main wheel up there. But keep your eyes peeled

That looks so terrific I'm at a loss at what to say. Very nice of paranoia2mb to help you make this amazing piece of work! I'm looking forward to seeing more progress.
As for a final version, I don't know if there will be such a thing because I always see amazing updates and facelifts continue to be made to things like this.

I can't get enough of those rainbow chase lights!
The whole Wheel is absolutely gorgeous! I have to ask either you or paranoia, how do you make the sparkly outlines on the wedge numbers without having to trace around them in ink?

[...] how do you make the sparkly outlines on the wedge numbers without having to trace around them in ink? So actually there isn't any ink involved, the only token I printed (i.e. with ink) was the 1/2 car tags. Instead, paranoia and I have cutting machines. I start with a sparkly cardstock that I cut into a wedge shape, and then layer adhesive vinyl on top of it. (I believe paranoia's process is similar.) Here's some scraps along the way so you can see the process a little bit. (including a turquoise $500 i made before I decided I liked the mint bettter )

You sure as hell made that wheel like a pro. And it sounds almost like the real wheel.

Is this the same size as Paranoia's 40" wheel?
