After witnessing all six episodes that were taped on July 26, I'm fairly certain that Season 37 is upping their prize minimum from $6,000 to $7,000. Case in point, the Prize Wedge for Regular Big Money week was a shopping spree valued at $7,000. In previous seasons, shopping sprees and sponsored cash prizes were always either the minimum $6,000, $7,500, or $10,000. Also, all six Prize Puzzle trips were at least $7,000 but not over $8,000 (get the reference? ). It would be nice if there was a firm maximum for trips to make the Prize Puzzle less of a blow, but this cannot be assumed from just one taping. We'll have to see if they still shell out the $13K trips on the team weeks and Collette weeks. Not sure exactly how the prize minimum has evolved over the years, but it seemed like it was: - $1,000 for much of the syndicated era through Season 13 (Season 1 had at least two <$1,000 Prize Wedges) - $2,000 in Season 14 - $2,500 in Season 15 - $3,500 in Season 20 through at least 22 - $4,000(?) by Season 24 (although most trips that season were $4,500, but I definitely recall a $4,2XX trip early in the season) - $5,000 in Season 25 - $6,000 in Season 32

So I think this "news" may have gotten buried under the news of Triple Toss-Up and Harry's stepping down.
Can any WOF history experts confirm my guesses on the evolution of the prize minimum? Are there any other known <$4,500 prizes offered in Season 24?
