Wheel is currently being pre-empted for a replay of a local newscast. There was no such announcement of this on their social media pages, and Wheel is still listed on the website and TV listings. Presumably, tonight's episode will not air at all.

WPRI - PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND
Strangely, TV listings have all programming from 7 PM to midnight listed as "To Be Announced" for tonight. Wheel is currently airing just fine.

Wheel is pre-empted for the entire week (and possibly further) on the ABC O&O's. Because of the current pandemic, several affiliates of all networks have been adding either additional local newscasts or encores of national news at 7:00 or 7:30 ET/PT. WNBC New York has been airing NBC Nightly News encores at 7:30 since 3/23, pre-empting All Access, and WFSB Hartford (CBS) has been pre-empting Inside Edition since 3/23 for a new 7:00 newscast. I figured that stations carrying Wheel would figure it's too popular a program to pre-empt for an entire week for a national news encore, but it seems ABC only thinks that for Jeopardy!, as 90% of affiliates do.

Then again, Wheel is in reruns this week while Jeopardy! is not, but this still will no doubt cause a significant loss of ratings, and Wheel has lately been getting praise as a nice "break" from all the news about the pandemic, so while the situation is definitely important, it's still sad to see this happen to Wheel while affiliates continue to act like there will be serious consequences if anything takes Jeopardy!'s time slot for a day or two. Anything to keep Wheel from beating J! in the ratings again, I guess...

WEEK 31: AMERICA'S GAME (IV)

^[1] Listed as the Saturday rerun, which is actually airing Saturday at 5:30 PM Eastern, erroneously listed as a repeat of Wednesday's episode.

As stated in the recap thread and on Wheel's social media, there was an unusual error with Wednesday's episode. Apparently, when it was first sent to stations, it was an unfinished version that did not include the SPIN ID, resulting in an awkward pause and no graphics when Jim read the copy. The version with the SPIN ID was likely sent out at the last minute and many stations did not have time to program the correct version of the episode, especially when many station operations have gone remote because of the pandemic. This was likely because this episode aired over a month earlier than originally scheduled.

This only seemed to affect markets in the Eastern, Central, and Mountain Time Zones. I checked several Pacific markets and they all had the SPIN ID, however KHON in Hawaii did not have it.
