I have a humbling question to ask. On the application it asks if you have a DUI(misdemeanor), and regretfully I do. It is over 10 years old and it is expunged. I have an audition coming up, and I am wondering if I should bother going with this on my record. Thank you so much for any help/advice.

I would think it's best to add it on to the application. Explain what happened to the coordinators and you should be fine.

If it's expunged, it's no longer on your record.

But they ask to mention anything you were ever convicted of. Even if it's off the record, it still happened. I would recommend putting it down, but adding "(expunged from record)".
A DUI won't make-or-break your appearance, though. One 2008 contestant said in an interview that she had to put down that she got arrested for selling cocaine and the CC's didn't care.

This made me think of a season 24 contestant who was convicted of embezzlement years prior and promised to pay his victims back with his winnings. Here’s the article where I found this information.

^ Very interesting article. So it apparently wasn't until after that guy's appearance that Wheel began asking about criminal history, even though J! had been doing it already by that point. I would have thought Wheel had begun being more serious about this after a child molester appeared in 1998 and was recognized when his show aired.
Also, ironically, the article states that Scott Alan McDonald was working for Denver affiliate KDVR, which serves as Denver's Wheel affiliate today. Anyone working there now is ineligible for the show.

I would say to be honest. They have plenty of time to do background checks after the auditions, so they might find out anyway.
