Inspired by tonight’s episode and genius2751 ’s comment on the Triple Tossup news, I’d thought I would gather up all of the tossup triple stumpers from S22-S36 (S22 was the first season to have all of the puzzles in the compendium.). The total amount of Tossup triple stumpers from those seasons adds up to 31. Divide that by 15 and you get an average of 2.06667 Tossup triple stumpers per season. So far in season 37, with the addition of the Triple Tossup, the number of Tossup puzzles per episode has increased to 5. With that, we could expect more triple stumpers on tossups this season (The last 2 seasons took about towards the last 7 weeks to have the first Tossup stumper.). Take 31 and multiply that by 5/3. Then divide that by 15 and we would have an average of 3.44444 Tossup stumpers per season with the triple tossup feature. So far, there’s one triple tossup stumper this season, I would expect to see at least two more before the end of this season. Any questions/comments about this?

On the same topic, the total amount unclaimed from tossups alone (S22-S36) was $57,000. Divide that number by 15 and you would get an average of $3,800 (rounded up to $4,000) unclaimed per season just on the tossups.
Now, multiply $57,000 by 1.5 and you would get $85,500. Divide $85,500 by $9,000 and you would get that the predicted average of money saved from the tossups with the triple tossup feature equals $5,700 (rounded up to $6,000). Thus, I would expect to see at least $3,000 more unclaimed from the tossups before season 37 is finished.
