I know he's not doing the secret santa week but what about after that?

There hasn't been any more news, so we're assuming he's only missed that weeks' episodes.

It may be possibly one week more than that, too. Stay tuned...

Does the show do those "America's Game" episodes with Secret Santa week? Because that could be another problem with the Sony Editing Department.

^ Not exactly. Secret Santa in Season 31 was only two and a half weeks. The Thursday and Friday episodes of the third week where generically-themed "Home for the Holidays" and had no sweepstakes. While the sixth episode was taped the same day as three Secret Santa episodes, it didn't come off of a full week.
The very first Secret Santa Sweepstakes in Season 29 did tape six episodes per day, and all 12 episodes aired consecutively with sweepstakes involved. The W-F episodes of the third week were from a separate taping and were themed "Wheel Loves New York". Since only three episodes were taped for the proper theme, two America's Game episodes were taped on its set, with both of them airing during separate AG weeks.

Last year it was two days with 5 shows each. I’m anxious to hear from contestants who were there... were they already there, or notified before that day,. How did they’d handle people having to stay over until Monday to tape, etc.

So, none of the following is 100% confirmed, but I am hearing from reliable sources that, even though last Thursday's proposed tapings were cancelled, episodes were still taped on Friday, but without a studio audience aside from the contestant guests. No word on whether Pat returned, who hosted, or what week was taped, but the generic set was used. Only five shows were taped, and if Pat continues to be out, they will continue to only tape five shows a day until he's back to avoid any out-of-place America's Game episodes without him.

Honestly, if need be, I think it would be cool to see Jim announcing AND hosting... He has done it for the lottery events, so why not give him a shot here?
