Is the Culver City station stop on the LA metro map the best place to access the train? Does the parking lot usually fill up fast with commuters? How have you all handled sightseeing transportation while in LA? I've lived in Boston and New York and Philly and can navigate those systems fine but also know there are a lot of nuances and insider tricks, ie if you want to go to Fenway Park in Boston, the Kenmore stop is your closest option as opposed to the Fenway stop.

My family or friends just rented a car every time I've been out there.

My family or friends just rented a car every time I've been out there. Well we plan on renting one too, but for the stuff that is downtown, like going to the Santa Monica pier or visiting USC or UCLA, it's easy to drive around? All we hear about is how awful LA traffic is.
