This is what I think of the 2010 decade of Wheel.
We start in 2010 in Season 27. On the 1/4/10 episode we had the REGIS PHILBIN AND KELLY RIPA incident. We had 4 grand prize wins in 2010. And on the Season 27 finale the contestant lost $25K and was one space away from the $100K. We also said goodbye to $25K. In season 28 the minimum was $30K now. We started the season in Vegas like season 27. A new category came called WHATS THAT SONG? On 11/1/10 Charlie sadly died. And they were dubbing his voice? I think that was disrespectful.
In 2011 Jim became announcer. And they went to New Orleans. Season 28 was not a good season. We had 11 grand prize losses this season. But it would be tied in a later season of the decade. Season 29 was not as bad as 28. The Half Cars made their debut. And the WHATS THAT SONG? Category would be retired after only over a year. The Secret Santa would debut this season too. My favorite sweepstakes.
In 2012 was one of the best years of the decade. They went to Portland this year. It had a infamous MAGIC JAND incident there though.. Season 30 would end up being one of the best seasons ever. A milestone season. The wheel was upgraded to have $500 per consonant on cardboard except for the Mdw. We had 6 grand prize wins that season too!
And in 2013 we would go to New York. And an infamous 14-BR losing streak. But on 5/30/13 the 2nd million winner happened! And on 6/11/13 there would be a $100K win that was taped right after that. Season 31 would come and the jackpot went but the express was introduced. Season 31 started in Vegas like 27 and 28. But on 9/17/13 an infamous CORNO CURRO CABINET solve. People thought wheel ripped him off but they didn't.
2014 would be a great year for Wheel. They celebrated 6000 shows on 4/11/14. But an infamous MYTHOLOGICAL HERO ACHILLES solve would be in that show too. A bad 6000th show. They would celelrate it on the week of 4/28/14. A nice milestone. On 5/23/14 the $100K was hit for the first time in Season 31 but lost. But on 6/4/14 it was won! The $100K wasn't hit until late in the season in Season 31. Season 32 came and is one of the best Wheel seasons. The minimum on the wheel was now 500$. The bonus minimum was changed every year for each season now. We also went to Hawaii! And on 9/17/14 the million was won for the third time. And on 12/26/14 the main game record was broken. Over $91K.
2015 came and on california coast week in Season 32 Chad won $100K without landing on that envelope! And in February the $100k was won! But on April 2 2015 the first $1M loss happened. Season 33 came and was downgraded. Some money amounts were downgraded. But still a great season. And an amazing game by Sheri on Fall Fun week.
2016 came and was a great year. A funny moment where they were going to Italy but thought it was France. MarioGS came on the show this year too Two $100K wins too and one of them had a tiebreaker too. And on the final week of Season 33 the Crossword round debuted. Season 34 came and that became permaneant. Wheel stayed the same. And on 10/26/16 pat celebrated his 70th birthday! And a $100K win on 12/1/16. And a great 12/30/16 show to wrap up 2016.
2017 came and the music package changed to the current one. On the season 34 finale Pat couldn't find the right million envelope. Season 35 came and was a milestone season. And you can pick your category in the bonus round now. And a new category What are you wearing? We also went to Walt Disney world. But on 11/15/17 and 12/21/17 million losses happened. And there were no $100K wins this year.
2018 started bad with two $100K losses on 1/1/18 and 1/5/18. But on 3/21/18 there was finally a $100K win. Season 35 ended with a skunked week though and Season 36 came. It started great and on 11/16/18 the $100K was won again but this has been the last time it was won.
Finally 2019 and January didn't start well. Two million losses 1/11/19 and 1/16/19 and a $100K loss on 1/25/19. And two of the contestants that lost the $1M and the one that lost $100K were from my home state. And the $100K loss contestant was a boardie too. dougarr On april one of the amounts downgraded in Season 33 was reverted to its previous value. In May we celebrated the 7000th show. Another milestone. But we would also get a 20 loss losing streak. Thanks to James Holtzhaur on J! We would get one more BR win on memorial day but no more BR wins for the season after that. And we were skunked on the finale week. Season 37 came and the new Triple Toss-Up was added. A nice new feature. Season 37 so far had some BR wins. But skunked twice so far. In December Vanna hosted the Secret Santa due to Pats illness. And reruns were shown on Christmas week from Season 36's Christmas week. The last two shows of the decade had $37K wins. But no $100K wins in 2019.
