Just like Safe Travels! Week, we just narrowly avoided the skunk thanks to Friday's Bonus Round win. As such, we won't have to get into the tomato bath, this time. Thank goodness, too, because just like Weekend Getaways, last week, this was another rough week for us. Our Great Escapes! contestants took home $238,822 in cash and prizes, this week. The $50K Bonus Round win on Friday ended up being our only highlight of the week. We had a lot of mis-solves and BANKRUPTs, this week, but in the end, we still did decent winnings wise, even though a good chunk of the winning totals came from the expensive cruises in the Prize Puzzle Round.
Next week is British Landscapes Week. Of course, most of you knew that since they advertised this theme all throughout the week due to the sweepstakes that goes along with this theme. Throughout the week, we'll explore famous British landmarks, learn some history behind said landmarks, and since this week is sponsored by Collette, we'll probably see some more expensive trips in the Prize Puzzle Round. Let's hope this week ends up brilliant, and gets us back in a nice groove.
