More daytime goodness from what I assume is the contestant's son. Includes a preview of San Antonio week:

Both episodes are from KYW airings, with commercials. * June 17 (Walt/Leora {Day 2 - $6,000}/Joan): This is at least the second time I'm aware of that Susan's worn a strapless outfit, though in this case it looks more like a tablecloth. I guess they wanted to keep the censor awake or something. I mean, it's not like NBC's got bigger things to be concerned with at this point or anything... The Round 2 puzzle had me laughing when I realized (around the 9:10 mark) what it was, given that it was infamously used again 37 years later. While not as big of a trainwreck as Megaword's OXIDIZED puzzle from 1995, this round also takes a pretty long while. Interesting that they'd preview the following week's San Antonio Week here, though I guess that'd explain why the game ended during Round 3. Wow, Susan's attitude changed after the San Antonio footage ended thanks to all the food that was shown. I don't think I've ever seen or heard her quite like that. Puzzles (/ denotes a line break): Occupation: DISTRICT / ATTORNEY Title: WKRP IN / CINCINNATI Thing: BASEBALL / DIAMOND (goes to Speed-Up)
* June 18 ([Champ]/Nancy/Brenda, starts at 29:28): A one-word Phrase? That's definitely not something you see every day. Wow, that was a big Round 2. More San Antonio footage during the final segment, plus a Contestant Plug and full credit roll. Jeff Goldstein is credited as director. Interesting. Puzzles: Phrase: FIDDLESTICKS Phrase: WORKING / AROUND / THE CLOCK Person: VICTORIA / PRINCIPAL (goes to Speed-Up) And as for Walt, the focus of this upload... Walt sweeps the game for $6,400, but gets nothing more on Day 2. Nancy will return with $4,850. Not much else to say except to thank Michael Smerconish (Walt's son) for uploading these.

^ About the one-word Phrase, I'm guessing that Round 1 was a replacement puzzle, since Round 2 was also Phrase.

^ About the one-word Phrase, I'm guessing that Round 1 was a replacement puzzle, since Round 2 was also Phrase. If it was, you'd have heard a disclaimer from Jack Clark over the closing credits.

^ Oh, that's right. I forgot the announcers used to do that. I haven't watched many classic episodes, so that was probably why I forgot.

I have Walt's plug in the Doylestown Intelligencer and Mike Smerconish of CNN fame is the one that uploaded these
