Okay, this makes absolutely no sense...  So Season 36's Shopping Spree week is supposedly rerunning the week of May 11, except they're pulling the Tuesday episode (10/2/18) and replacing it with a random AG show from later in the season (4/8/19). What makes this more egregious is that the pulled episode has a Bonus Round win, yet the "replacement" episode does not. I don't see anything "wrong" with the 10/2/18 episode that would warrant not being able to rerun it, and it didn't have a Mystery win or anything that might make them want to save money. Besides, 10/1/18 and 4/8/19 both reran very recently, on 4/11/20 and 3/21/20, respectively. |

October 5, 2018 also was rerun on October 12, 2019, so every rerun week so far has at least one episode that reran on a Saturday.
By the way, this is reminding me of Season 28's Summer Reruns.

even though we have been told eps from season 35 and earlier will air, the first 3 weeks of reruns are from season 36 and 37. they must be planning on not taping any episodes until early june at the earliest,unless the time between when eps are taped and when eps need to be distributed to affiliates isnt as little as i think it is.

Could they be pulling that episode because of The Wizard Of Oz crossword puzzle? I don't see a reason why that's the reason but I think it's a possible reason to why they are pulling it

^ What was wrong with that puzzle? In 2014, when they reran Wheel 6000 week, they pulled bmothersele's episode because of the Robin Williams puzzle, but that episode did rerun when GSN aired most of Season 31 and the last six episodes of Season 30. |

^ All the actors may be dead but this is different than the Robin Williams puzzle. His death had recently happened when it was going to re air and got pulled but The Wizard Of Oz is a classic. Airing puzzles about classics is okay. Jeopardy uses clues about world history and people that died are always answers to the clues

^ I was aware that the reason the Robin Williams episode was pulled was because it was going to rerun just over a month after he died.
Also, there was one time where a puzzle got pulled, but the episode aired. On the November 2, 1992 (taped in San Francisco) episode, Round 2 didn't air because the puzzle was VANNA'S PREGNANT and Vanna had a miscarriage sometime after that episode was taped, so that round was replaced with a behind the scenes retrospective on their San Francisco road shows and Pat revealing who solved the puzzle.

Actually just last night - the rest of the week (and much of next) will be the Tournament from this past year with Ken, Brad and James (broken into 8 pieces), then the Friday of next week is supposed to be Ken's final episode.
Going back to Wheel - interesting that the show they picked to begin the longer than usual rerun season started with a toss up of... The show must go on!

It's so weird how two episodes in particular are being replaced with others for no apparent reason, and yet they're keeping an episode that featured an adult-oriented missolve that Wheel probably wasn't keen on having go viral when it originally aired.
What makes it even weirder is that the winner of the second of the two skipped episodes, Annah, had a "Best of" montage on the show's YouTube channel.
