In a recent interview with KMIR, Wheel's affiliate in Palm Springs, Vanna gives some updates on the future of Wheel during these unprecedented times. Vanna says in the interview that they hope to return to production "in the next month or two", and that they are "rearranging the set" to follow social distancing protocol, but they will likely continue to tape without an audience. This promo shows that contestants will walk up to the Wheel when it's their turn. http://instagram.com/p/CA-jrn1j7aD If this is how America is going to do it, I imagine the time it takes for a contestant to walk back and the next to walk forward will take some gameplay time away, or they will just edit all that out and cut straight to the sound of the next spin. |

Happy to see Vanna doing well. I wish they same for Pat. I don't think Pat will be spinning for the players. I think they will have a player go up to the wheel and spin it and stay in place until they lose and yes there will be editing. That is just my guess. I know I am looking forward to seeing new shows. I love gameshows simply because they are fun and you see people happy. They are a like little vacation from all the bad news. I am sure with time that will change for the better. Stay positive and stay safe everybody.

It's no doubt that they'll never replace Pat or Vanna this season. That's somehow unimaginable right now. Also, how would the contestants interact with the wheel after another contestant touched a peg on the wheel? Would they be required to take a different peg for each spin?

I've seen multiple people suggest that they color each alternating peg red, yellow, and blue, and instruct the contestants to only grab pegs of their own color. Not a bad idea, but it may look ugly on the Wheel, and it may be an issue that being forced to not grab the peg furthest away from you most of the time could affect spin power.

Also for the Bonus Round, will Pat pick up the envelope for them from the Bonus Round Wheel and keep it until it's time to be revealed? Instead of the contestant picking it up and handing it to Pat?
