First day back at home in the studio for Season 15! The new intro is used for the first time as well as the updated bonus prize selector. Vanna also brings out her newborn daughter Giovanna at the end of the show for the first time!

That was one of the more unusual endings I've seen on Wheel but I'm glad it worked out for Skip. I was looking at his face the whole time and, while I can't prove it, I think he was thinking, "There's no way that's the solution." I personally didn't think it was either.
That R3 puzzle was rough for Sally, and it took her a second to realize where she went wrong. I saw a BR loss from about 2002-2003 where the solution was BACK TO BASICS and the contestant said BACK TO THE BASICS and when it wasn't the answer, she just stopped.
I'm wondering, if the speed-up were today, would they have just started with the final spin? It seems weird to me to have the wheel spun twice and then, "Oh, time for the final spin!" I know they did that a few times with some other episodes around this time, but it's just weird to me that they didn't just go straight for the final spin.

I've seen several R4's only get a couple of letters or spins in before they sound the bells. However, many times when R4 does sound the bells shortly into, but not at the start of the round, it's because the contestant who starts R4 has the Million Dollar Wedge and the producers want to have one last chance for it to be Bankrupted. I remember one episode this past season where this was the case but the contestant with the MDW called a wrong letter on their first spin, and they sounded the bell one turn later. |
