It's Week 2 of Season 18 with Endless Summer Week! Puzzle solve cue returns to the 1997 version and the toss-up solve cue changes to the regular solve cue from the week before. This week is particularly special to me as I was in the audience for all five shows!

One of the shows from this week (believed to be the 12th) was the Saturday rerun for the week of 9/11/01 and is preserved on archive.org.

That is correct! Aside from that one I don’t think any others have been posted yet.
Also FYI this week was taped on July 21st...actually the fifth taping day of the season.

wheelfan82, Any thoughts from these shows before and after taping, and any memories regarding what happened during the commercial breaks? Its usually just the crew working on some adjustments to the puzzleboard/wheel. Nice to see another show with nice payouts among the non-Big Winners. That's also quite a long puzzle known for OCCUPATION. Pat was a few years off on his envelope gag though since he factored in the pre-envelopes era.
It's a bit unusual that WLNY aired Oprah immediately before primetime, since many stations including WABC aired it after the soaps and before the news. I can't think of too many other talk shows that aired around that time.

WABC aired Oprah at 4:00. WLNY is an independent station, so their entire schedule is free for them to put whatever they want at whatever time they want. I'm pretty sure they also did not have any news operations at the time, so their whole schedule was syndies. Today, WLNY airs Last Man Standing at 7:00 PM, Dr. Phil at 8:00 (same episode that airs at 3:00 on their now-sister WCBS), local news at 9:00, and Judge Judy at 10:00 (also airs at 4:00 on WCBS). I also once read a recollection that WLNY aired Jeopardy! and Wheel at 9:00 PM for a time.

Bringing this one up to the top now that I’m continuing on with these shows!
