Okay, so wheelfan82 and Dat Nguyen have released a plethora of S24 episodes on the web (most are in widescreen HIGH-DEFINITION). Naturally, I would recap an episode from this season every day this week. genius2751 recently recapped the San Diego opener and Kori Planston covered the premiere a while back, so yeah. Anyway, here we go!
HOLIDAY MOVIE MAGIC
AIR DATE: 12/4/06
$1,000 Tossup: Place
_ H _ / F R O _ T
_ O W
Hopefully, Edye's supporters in the audience are sitting in THE FRONT ROW. Kicking off this week...
Edye Bisagno: Franklin, TN (orig. from Houston). Married to Tim for 10 years with two sons. Pastor's wife and labor assistant. Loves to go camping in their vintage 1959 Airstream trailer.
Rich Minor: Roanoke, VA. Morning radio announcer who's a bit sporty during his spare time (basketball, golf, gym).
Suzanne Fast: Englewood, CO. Grad student at CU Denver who's doing her teacher studies (She also teaches at Garden Place Academy; no time goofing off for her!).
$2,000 Tossup: Food & Drink
J U N I _ R
M I N _ _
Edye has some JUNIOR MINTS to triple up.
Featured Prize: $5,000 courtesy of the PURSUIT of HAPPYNESS
Mon./Wed./Fri. Gift Tag: AMC THEATERS
$10,000 Round: Thing
_ _ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _
Edye begins with 2 $300 T's, an R for AMC THEATERS, but S stops her for now on $300. Rich next with 3 $600 N's (near BANKRUPT), 2 I's, a G for the FREE SPIN, a $300 D, 2 O's, but then M for miss on $400 (near $550) and decides to keep his FS. Suzanne picks an $800 P, a $600 H, but then the M repeat while on $900. Edye gets the last consonant of a $300 C...
H _ _ R T - P O _ N D I N G
_ C T I O N
...this really isn't HEART-POUNDING ACTION so far, but she's won $1,900 cash & movie tickets.
Duds: S (Edye), M (Rich)
DQ: Susanne's M Repeat
Pre-Round 2 Scores:
Edye: $4,900 cash & tickets
Rich: FREE SPIN
Suzanne: Repeated a Letter
---
Eggland's Best Jackpot Round: Before & After
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ($5,000)
_ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _
Rich begins this round with a $450 T, but then N for no while on the other $400 and still decides to keep his FS (hmm...). Suzanne picks off a $300 S (not quite to TD), a $900 R, but then W for worthless while on $800 (?!). Edye's next with an L for the PURSUIT of HAPPYNESS, an $800 M, a $900 D, 3 E's, a V for the WILD CARD, and 2 K's on $400 (next to $550).
E V _ _ _ R _ T E D ($9,950)
M _ L K
S _ _ K E
An EVAPORATED MILK SHAKE sound weird to me, but not to Edye - that gives her another $7,250.
Duds: N (Rich), W (Suzanne)
Pre-Round 3 Scores:
Edye: $12,150 cash & tickets + WC
Rich: FREE SPIN
Suzanne: Not that good.
---
Mystery Round: Proper Name (Also the Prize Puzzle)
_ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _
Suzanne doesn't do any better with a BANKRUPT (near $600). Rich then spins...but it's not his turn yet! After Pat resets the wheel, Edye picks an $800 N (Pat: Can't trust these morning show people! ), a $300 T, a $300 S, 2 $400 R's (near $600), A, but then Rich will finally get his turn since Edye BANKRUPTS (near TD) to give up $1,950 and her WC...and he BANKRUPTS in the same space as well! He finally uses the FS...but that fails since a D on $800 is nowhere to be found at all. Suzanne picks off 2 P's for $1,600, I, but then her own BANKRUPT to flush away the $1,350 remainder. Geez.
Edye spins just once for a $1,600 L pair...
_ I L _ / S T A R
P _ N _ L _ P _ / _ R _ _
...and wins a trip to the birth country of FILM STAR PENELOPE CRUZ -- SPAIN (Barcelona via lastminutetravel.com; all trips from said co. are $4,500 this season unless otherwise noticed).
Oh, and if you're Wheel Watcher LM20626, you were way too late. Did you have a Sony Card at least?
Dud: D (Rich)
Bankrupts: 4 (Suzanne twice)
Pre-Round 4 Scores:
Edye: $18,250 cash & prizes
Rich: FREE SPIN waster.
Suzanne: BANKRUPT victim.
Well, that was one of the more interesting rounds I've recapped. Also, I think a trip to Madrid would've been more appropriate since Penelope Cruz was born in that area.

$3,000 Tossup: Event
B A _ _ R O O M
_ A _ C I _ _
Edye only gets the first word, so no maingame sweep for her.
B A L _ R O O M
_ A _ C I _ _
Rich's on the board with BALLROOM DANCING.
Round 4: Show Biz
_ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Rich puts up 3 $350 T's, a $400 S (near $600), A, but then E for end of turn. Suzanne gets a $1,200 N pair and it's speedup time.
S T _ N T
_ _ _ _ _ _ N A T _ _
Final Spin: $6,000!
Suzanne: C
S T _ N T
C _ _ _ _ _ N A T _ _
Suzanne also escapes the gooseegg bench with a $7,200 solve of STUNT COORDINATOR.
Dud: E (Rich)
Final Scores:
Edye: $18,250 cash & prizes
Rich: $3,000
Suzanne: $7,200
Suzanne would NOT have won the game had she called the R's instead of the C. Also, for either situation, the Prize Puzzle DIDN'T matter for someone to win here.
Maingame Total: $28,450
Bankrupt Trash: $3,300 + WC
---
$100,000 Bonus Round
The cars on the stage this week are a 2007 Mercedes-Benz C230 Sport Sedan and a 2007 Ford Mustang GT Premium Convertible. Edye's brought her hubby and their oldest son, River. She lands on the ****.
Category: Phrase
RSTLNE gives her a 1/6th of the puzzle...
_ _ R _ / _ N _
_ _ _ _ _
MBGO just gives her an additional letter...
_ _ R M / _ N _
_ _ _ _ _
WARM AND is right, but the last word's definitely not TOASTY. She won't be feeling WARM AND FUZZY with another $30,000 and is booted out with $18,250 cash & prizes.
End Chat: Pat and Vanna each have their own star...but Hollywood recognizes Pat as a film star instead.
My Rating: 6
Tomorrow, I'll cover another episode from that week.
