It’s the Season 11 finale and the last show before Vanna gave birth to her first child, Nikko!

I got R1 with just the E's and S's showing.
Jona saying "No whammies!" during her final R2 spin cracked me up.
I didn't realize buying a vowel with too little money was a lose your turn situation. I have an episode from 1996 where someone tried buying a vowel with no money but he was allowed to continue. He also didn't call a letter, so maybe that made the difference?
Anybody else wonder if contestants who introduce themselves as single ever meet their significant others after appearing on the show?

R4 was just brutal, but I figured that the second word was CAR with just the R showing. Interesting use of strategy with the Free Spin after two null cycles*, but apparently it wasn't to be and turned out to be the difference. Sort of foreshadows MEGAWORD for S12, doesn't it? But at least an easy BR if you chose the popular letters followed, with a sweep a great way to round off an awesome season. I really miss when Pat would acknowledge the end of season like he used to regarding the "best of" shows to come as opposed to just a generic "we'll see you next time". Perhaps it makes more sense when unusual circumstances like this year makes the "true" end of the season unknown. This was also the last episode with the soft rock/jazz version of Changing Keys, but of course, the puzzle solve cue used since 1989 would last through the first month of the coming season. *Due to Charlie's comment on the show being edited, its possible that an additional null cycle or two was edited out. The editing wouldn't start to become a regular occurrence until after the move to SPS, and especially when "A portion of the game was edited" was added to the closing crawl. I got R1 with just the E's and S's showing. Nice! Got it after the R's. Jona saying "No whammies!" during her final R2 spin cracked me up. The same with Gina from early in S15. He also didn't call a letter, so maybe that made the difference?
At least unlike Glenn, he actually was patient enough for Pat's warning. Its important sometimes to check the scoreboard and of course not to rush out, otherwise this rare mistake that had already added to a rough round could slip through. Anybody else wonder if contestants who introduce themselves as single ever meet their significant others after appearing on the show? Good question and I'm not aware of anyone who did it specifically after appearing on Wheel or any other show, but I hear in this age of social media, contestants can quickly get a lot of friend requests which may be part of the processes. I've heard on other shows in those pre-Internet days about "send in the mail" regarding meeting out. Alex on Classic Concentration sometimes had some interesting dialogue about it.
