This is actually from the fall of 1983, based on the brown trees used, the original Changing Keys theme starting from just before the bridge, the "as in x" letter calls, and the second Bankrupt sound with Merv's bass effect. There's a pretty funny moment by Betty that is worth checking out, but its still nice getting something that's presumably gone.

Pat's comments after walking out indicate it's a Monday show. They also retired a champ last Friday. Betty was just a bit confused in Round 1, but it's a funny moment and I hope it makes the blooper rounds. A $19 memopad? I think that's...what, the third sub-$20 prize I've seen? (I've lost count.) Ooh, a collection of Selchow & Righter games. Lemme see... From left to right we have RSVP, Safecrack, Quip Qubes, Deluxe Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit Master Game, Vis-à-Vis, and Parcheesi. A KSBW ident graphic pops up early in Round 3. Hey, commercials! Pat and Vanna plug the upcoming Couples Week. And...um...were the censors asleep there or something? Puzzles ("/" denotes a line break): Thing: SENSE / OF / SMELL People: BOSTON POPS / ORCHESTRA Title: THE COMEDY / OF ERRORS *Bonus Round* Phrase: SPREAD-EAGLE (played for a $5,487 trip to Switzerland) And the outcome: Violet comes back tomorrow with $2,900.
