Just what we need... another ABC O&O pre-emption affecting Wheel and only Wheel (in most cases). Remember that "#BeLocalish: Deals and Steals" special back on December 4 that pre-empted Wheel on all the ABC O&O's? Well, there's another one this Friday. However, this time, the stations have the option of airing it on either Friday or Saturday. Here is when each one is airing it (barring KTRK Houston since they don't carry Wheel), and whether it affects Wheel... FRIDAY'S WHEEL PRE-EMPTED (NEW)- WABC New York: Friday's episode will air Sunday morning at 5:00 AM Eastern. Saturday rerun is not affected. (cc: gameshowfandanny )

Oh and not only that, but there's another offseason Patriots All Access on WBZ Boston on Friday. Even though Wheel does move to WSBK on occasions where both it and J! are pre-empted, this time it's moving to 2:07 AM Eastern as usual.
A lot of people this week are boycotting J! while Dr. Oz is hosting, but the affiliates sure aren't...

KFSN Fresno: Friday's episode will air Saturday at 7:30 PM Pacific. The Saturday rerun will air earlier at 5:00 PM. KFSN moved the BeLocalish special to Saturday at 7:30. Friday's episode will air at the regular time and the rerun will still be moved to 5:00. There is also a special tomorrow on WFTV in Orlando (ABC). One of their "9 Family Connection" specials, which pre-empted weekday episodes of Wheel several times last season. Fortunately, this one's a Saturday, so Wheel's rerun will air at 5:30 PM Eastern instead of 7:30. |

Thursday's episode was pre-empted on KSBW in Monterey, California (NBC) by a COVID special, simulcast from Sacramento's NBC affiliate KCRA. Wheel did not air at all. Of all days... KSBW pre-empted Wheel again on Thursday for a "Project CommUNITY" special, a moniker used by Hearst-owned stations. Thursday's episode didn't air at all. I hope the SPIN ID winner didn't live in that market... The Saturday rerun is pre-empted on all West Coast NBC's due to the network's two-hour figure skating broadcast airing from 6:30-8:30 PT (delayed from 8-10 ET) so that SNL can start live at 8:30 PT. Although KSBW doesn't make up pre-empted weekday episodes of Wheel, they're airing the rerun Sunday at 5:30 PM. |

Correction: Wheel's time slots on March 27 are not impacted by March Madness games directly, as the nighttime games will be on TBS, not CBS. Both of my CBS stations have regular programming for 7:00 on 3/27. However, assuming CBS's 5:00 game is scheduled until 7:00, programming will be impacted if the game runs over. There will also likely be CBS stations that schedule a local newscast at 7:00 or whenever the game finishes, and in many cases, will run them for a full 30 minutes, which may affect 7:30/6:30 Central airings of Wheel that are right after news. The game ran until 7:30 Eastern exactly, pre-empting the Saturday rerun in full on many East Coast CBS stations, and likely cutting off the beginning on KTVT Dallas which usually starts Wheel at 7:28ish. The makeup of Monday's episode was once again pre-empted in full on the Montana CBS stations due to the overrun. It was scheduled at 5:00 PM Mountain, with the rerun at 6:30 as usual. Also, according to alexb1186 , the rerun is unexpectedly being pre-empted on KSDK in St. Louis (NBC) with a AAA infomercial. |

WLS actually did not air Friday's episode at all. According to a WLS viewer that tried to DVR it, 3:00 AM was a law firm infomercial instead, and they're showing the rerun right now. WABC had the episode info swapped. Friday's Resort Livin' episode is airing right now despite being listed as the S37 Big Money rerun, which will actually be the episode airing at 5:00 AM Sunday. (NOTE: Let's Make a Deal does not air on days where CBS airs MM games, allowing stations to replace it with syndicated programming.) Since today's MM broadcast on CBS doesn't start until 7:00 PM Eastern, LMAD is back on today, so WRDW will not be airing Wheel in the morning. Instead, today's episode will air on their MyNetworkTV .3 subchannel at its normal 7:00 PM time. KAUZ Wichita Falls will still air Wheel early at 4:30 PM Central today.

Well, I'll be... even with overtime and interviews with the winners, NASCAR actually ended on time! 7:30 airings of Wheel on FOX should be just fine. WSYT was the only Wheel FOX that announced its programming changes. The only other 7:00 PM ET airings are on WXIX Cincinnati and KVHP Lake Charles, which do not appear to be airing the episode at all. WXIX had NASCAR listed only until 7:00, rather than the official 7:30.

FOX can't put syndies as news lead-in. That's primetime's job.
Normally, I don't keep track of Jeopardy! pre-emptions anymore unless they're related to Wheel. But I do know that J! was pre-empted on the following FOX stations last night:
WSYT - Syracuse, NY WBFF - Baltimore, MD WVUE - New Orleans, LA WALA - Mobile, AL WLUK - Green Bay, WI WLUC-DT2 - Marquette, MI
WZTV - Nashville, TN
I imagine most of them aired it after the late news.
WSYT airs J! at 7:30, but they moved it to WSYT-DT3 with Wheel and put a Judge Judy rerun on WSYT at 7:30 instead, likely to avoid the risk of J! being joined in progress or skipped if the race ran over.
WZTV does not carry Wheel. Typically, in the rare case WZTV does pre-empt J! with a sporting event or breaking news, the first-run episode airs on MyNetworkTV affiliate WUXP at 6:00 PM Central, replacing Daytime J!, so J! will always be covered in Nashville, unlike Wheel, where WKRN airs it after midnight frequently.
I'm not sure if there are any other markets besides Nashville where J! is on a FOX affiliate but Wheel isn't.
For future reference, J! actually notes all pre-emptions on its website, and all notices are posted on jboard.tv. It makes no sense to me that J! keeps tabs on what affiliates pre-empt it and Wheel doesn't, since Wheel gets pre-empted about ten times more often than J!, plus the J! YouTube channel has uploaded full episodes while Wheel never has.

Speaking of WOF Weekend, there must be something on ABC on April 4 3. Both Wheel and J! are skipped that day on the Xfinity app listings for WABC. It's probably not a local special, because those usually don't show up in the listings until just a few days prior. Last Saturday's Wheel didn't change from 7:30 PM to 2:00 PM until just Thursday. How could I forget this? It's ABC's traditional airing of The Ten Commandments, which officially starts at 7:00 PM because it's nearly five hours long. Affiliates do have the option of starting it at 8:00, but most don't since it would mean having to do local news well after midnight. So this weekend's rerun will not be seen in a little over half the country: no CBS because of March Madness and no ABC because of The Ten Commandments. Of course, a handful will air it Saturday or Sunday morning or afternoon. WRDW Augusta is airing it at 1:00 PM Saturday. WABC New York is airing it at 2:30 PM Sunday. WFTV Orlando at 5:30 PM Saturday, like last weekend. This weekend is yet another instance of a GAC rerun getting pre-empted in its own city. It's from GAC: San Francisco week, and KGO is not airing it at all this weekend, nor is KABC. This marks the sixth time that a GAC episode got pre-empted in its own city, though all of them were reruns. Every time a GAC week airs for the first time, all five episodes have aired in its appropriate market at their regular times. Season 33:Denver - Thu 5/12/2016: Rerun on Thu 7/30/2020 moved to 8:30 PM Mountain on KDVR (FOX) due to the Red Sox/Mets MLB game scheduled on FOX from 5:00-8:00 PM. The game ran over an hour longer than scheduled, past 9:00, so Wheel (and Jeopardy!, scheduled at 8:00) did not air that day at all. Seattle - Tue 5/4/2016: Rerun on Tue 8/25/2020 moved to 10:00 PM Pacific on KOMO (ABC) due to the Republican National Convention scheduled from 7:00-8:00. The Convention ran until 8:12, which caused ABC's 8:00 and 9:00 PM shows to run delayed in their entirety. At about 10:12, Wheel was joined in progress during the break between Rounds 2 and 3 while Jeopardy! aired in its entirety. Seattle - Thu 5/5/2016: Rerun on Thu 8/27/2020 suffered the same fate as the airing two days prior, but this time, the RNC ran about 45 minutes long, so Wheel did not air at all on KOMO and Jeopardy! was joined in progress halfway through. The RNC also overran between these two days on 8/26/2020, but that day's Wheel rerun was changed to a Season 37 episode since the Wednesday episode of GAC: Seattle had a Mystery $10K win and would have needed a SPIN ID added. Season 34:Boston - Fri 5/26/2017: Rerun on Fri 6/26/2020 moved to 2:07 AM Eastern on WBZ (CBS) due to a special episode of local show Patriots All Access in which the team's players have a discussion on racism. Special was originally slated to be half an hour, but was later expanded to a full hour, moving Jeopardy! overnight as well. Season 36:Nashville - Thu 2/21/2019: Rerun on Thu 8/29/2020 moved to 2:07 AM Central due to a pregame special on WKRN (ABC) preceding their local broadcast of the Titans/Bears NFL Preseason game. Season 37:San Francisco - Thu 4/30/2020: Rerun on Sat 4/3/2021 pre-empted entirely on KGO (ABC) due to ABC's broadcast of The Ten Commandments (traditionally done the day before Easter) from 7:00-11:44 PM Eastern/Pacific. Unlike some other ABC affiliates, KGO did not opt to air Wheel, nor the same day's Jeopardy! rerun (3/2/2020), in other weekend time slots. |

WTVY in Dothan, AL aired the Monday 3/29 episode on Sunday 4/4 at 6:00 AM Central, double-running with the GAC: SF rerun at 6:30 AM.
The Montana stations may or may not have aired the 3/29 episode on Sunday at 4:30 PM Mountain. I forgot to check. Wheel was listed in that slot, but most sites listed it as the GAC: SF rerun. Their website also had that theme name listed, but had the episode marked "New" instead of "Repeat".
