I have this episode in my collection and couldn't figure out the air date, so I'm happy you're able to confirm it! In my quest to find the air date, I happened to stumble across this article from Loyola New Orleans that talked about Sion's performance on the show.
What's intriguing to me is the date; the article ran Feb. 11, nearly two weeks before this episode aired. Sion talks about her winnings. Now, I've never been a contestant, but I'm pretty sure this violates some sort of non-disclosure agreement.
This article also does confirm the date College Week was recorded; Jan. 26, 2000.

But pretty frequently in the 80's and 90's, local articles did disclose winnings before the show aired. alexb1186 has shown me several examples. |
