Day 1 of Alpine Ski Adventure Week from Season 14 beginning with Vanna's second pregnancy announcement...this is also the first week to use the final blue oval category design that lasted through Season 17! (Original Broadcast w/ commercials from WABC)

Actually, there was one more blue oval category strip used for Season 18, though the design was much further away from the previous two.
Round 3 was certainly fun to watch for Steve. I figured though that although I got the BR with his picks, I doubt that someone from TN would get NY's capital, especially from a time when there were fewer transplants compared to today. And given the year and one of the contestants, the name Geri Halliwell immediately came to mind and a certain huge hit that catapulted her group to fame at the time. Interesting that Carnival once had an airline at the time; it certainly would be a lifeboat of recovery if they relaunched it.

Yes you are correct about the other blue oval category strip used in season 18 but I was referring to the “final” one for that season after the original one that was larger debuting a few weeks before.
