I imagine there will be some at least minor set and graphic changes to make it a bit more glitzy for primetime. A snazzy new mix on the theme song would be great too.

My next question/speculation...
With the show's being an hour long, how are they going to format it? Two games makes more sense to me. If they stretched one whole game to an hour, then theoretically, they could have 8 regular rounds of play. I think it would be awkward to do two Toss-ups, 3 rounds, Triple Toss-up, one more round, then repeat again. I could see them doing like Feud. My only concern would be if they give too much time to the celebs, it takes away from gameplay. I know there have been a handful of Celeb Feud episodes that only have one game for the whole hour because of the amount of time focused on the celebs.

I'm guessing it'll be two half hour games instead of one hour long game. There won't be as much commercial time in primetime remember, so they'll have at least a couple segments where there's no commercials between them.

We will have to rely on Mike Richards to push primetime Wheel, no doubt. Even if it does happen, it definitely won't be a tournament; just a one-off special or small spin-off series. "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune" seems most likely, or maybe "Super Wheel of Fortune". One of my predictions that I'm actually glad came true for once.

New promo, confirming there will only be eight episodes.
This was probably taped before production began, but notice the shot of the Wheel has Free Play replaced with $3500.

I'm more surprised that confirms we're going to see an hour of the same three celebrities. I know that the game will inevitably move slower because of trying to be funny, but I really hope this is't painful as the episodes of Celebrity Family Feud that were artificially extended from a 30-minute to a 60-minute episode.

Hopefully they add more rounds. I don't see how they can pad a game of five Toss-Ups, four-plus main rounds, a Bonus Round, and closing segment to a full hour, even if they don't edit out nulls or the Wheel slowing down.
...Unless they do it daytime style and do two maingames and one Bonus Round.

Given that the promo says "24 Celebrities" and "8 Week Event", I can see a few possibilities: * Two front games, highest total score after Game 2 plays the Bonus Round. * Each half-hour is its own game, with the season structured like a tournament: 8 winners across the first four hours plus highest score among non-winners, then a two-front-games format for three hour-long Semifinal shows, and then a single hour-long Finals game. Tournament winner gets another $1,000,000 or somesuch without needing to clear an extra hurdle (looking at you, Jeopardy! '79 and Trump Card). * Each hour is self-contained and they really will stretch the standard format out, probably with no changes to the payouts.

The prize budget would be on ABC's dime, not Sony's, right?

Logo is looking nice; reminiscent of the 2006 Celebrity Jeopardy! logo. I think in terms of minor set modifications, I’m not sure there will be any like Jeopardy’s GOAT tournament.

Hmm, so this means it will be the same three celebrities playing for the hour time. So either they'll use the regular format but have additional rounds and there will be less editing for time, or it will be two separate half hour games with the contestant with the highest combined total going to the bonus round.
Interesting to see what adjustments to wheel values and the Toss-Up amounts there will be, along with what gets added to the bonus wheel.

Whatever Mike and co. come up with, hopefully they don’t find a way to make it a complete chore to sit through.

Hopefully we could get a new theme for that occasion, but I don’t think so.

The series premiere will rerun on Sunday, January 10 at 8:00 PM Eastern/Pacific, replacing Supermarket Sweep, which wraps up its first season the week prior. This is only a one-time thing; Millionaire takes over the slot starting 1/17 to finish off its second season.
Although it will be a repeat, this must be the first time in decades that Wheel of Fortune has officially aired on TV across most of the nation all seven days of the week. WOF Weekend and Wheel 2000 are/were officially Saturday series despite some stations independently scheduling them for Sundays, and I believe GSN hasn't aired Wheel on a Sunday since 2000 when they were running Seasons 13 and 14.

^ Maybe? I don't know because I didn't even get GSN at my house until around 2005, after they stopped airing the Season 6 reruns. They definitely never aired it on a Sunday since then, and the only time they aired it on a Saturday was the Merv Griffin tribute marathon.
