Well I'd assume if you had more than one MDW heading into Bonus Land, then I'd assume than an additional $1,000,000 envelope or two/three would be added, presumably replacing the $50,000 envelope and possibly even the $45,000 envelopes. Well with the first episode airing immediately after Alex Trebek's next to last episode (or the regular Wheel that follows it), its got a nice lead-in to potentially give it a nice reception. Just like any new theme/remix, it hopefully should become familiar after a little while. At least with an hour show, it allows for more puzzles potentially and the chance to break a record for most regular play rounds in a show (seven).

Although I don't particularly care for the current theme music (truth be told, I can't stand it), the remix version heard in the promo, is more tolerable. But overall, I'm just excited and I can't wait for January 7th to arrive

Based on the most recent promo, have they brought back the motor that allows the wheel to spin on its own? Or is this some CGI trickery that’s fooled me?

I honestly don't think they ever truly got rid of it. They just stopped using it.

Four MDWs on the wheel is very interesting to see. I wonder if they will all be on the wheel starting in round 1, or if one gets added each round. Like how the theme sounds in the promo. At least with an hour show, it allows for more puzzles potentially and the chance to break a record for most regular play rounds in a show (seven). That's assuming it's just one game played in the hour. It could be that there's two separate regular length games and the celebrity with the highest combined total goes to the bonus round.

It's possible they won't even use the Bonus Wheel and will just outright play the Bonus Round for $100,000 or somesuch (replaced by the Million if the MDW is taken there).

New promo posted yesterday on ABC’s Twitter. Pretty much the same as the others with a few new clips of other celeb contestants.

Canada will air CWOF on YesTV, just like the syndicated version. It will air at 8:00 PM local time. In Western Canada, it will air on CHEK along with the syndicated version. Newfoundland will air it on NTV, again, same as syndie Wheel, at 8:30 PM local time, an hour before the US. None of the Canadian networks will be repeating the series premiere the following Sunday like ABC.

Wow, $20,000 as the round minimum? Of course it was going to be more than $1,000, but I didn't think they'd go nearly that high.

It's not a minimum. It was added to the round winnings. Maybe it's like the old arcade game where you get a "solve bonus" (which was $10K in that game for all rounds), that progressively increases with each round, and it's $20K for R4. And given that second place at that point has $20K even, presumably with no Prize Puzzle or express, there has to be some generous bonus somewhere. If that is the case, it screams of, "We were too lazy to make an upgraded Wheel layout save for a $950 wedge, but ABC still has so much more money to burn than what we give away on syndie Wheel". Half the contestants on syndie Wheel don't even win the game with $20K. Another thing I've noticed from the promos and publicity shots: the Triple Toss-Up will be worth either $2,500 or $5,000 each. I've seen one clip and one shot of two different contestants holding their buzzer with their scoreboard displaying $5,000 and the Wheel set up for R4.

One more week! ABC's press releases confirm the show will be available On Demand and on Hulu. With Wheel's primetime debut finally comes its legal streaming debut. Here's what the series premiere is up against on the other networks: CBS: Young Sheldon NBC: Mr. Mayor series premiere FOX: Hell's Kitchen Season 19 premiere CW: iHeartRadio Music Festival Night 2
And the Sunday rerun:
CBS: 60 Minutes (plus likely NFL overrun) NBC: NFL FOX: The Simpsons/Family Guy CW: Critics Choice Super Awards

Tough competition for Thursday night with a popular sitcom, a series premiere, and a season premiere. The NFL will be in the playoffs at the time of the Sunday rerun, and there's no first round games in Sunday primetime (though NBC could have something else new that Sunday night). Also, CBS typically airs the Sunday 1pm game so there won't be an overrun to worry about. Oh right, it was added on not bumped to $20k. You're right, it is pretty lazy to do that rather than adding higher wheel values for primetime (along with the additional MDWs on the wheel). I guess they want quick solves rather than more spinning so they can fit in more time for plugging the charities and banter.
