Day 2 of Family Week from Season 14...it's the first week to use the blue oval category graphics but it seems as if they were changed in post-production for the first few weeks based on the larger size and the winning totals graphics not being updated to match yet.

This almost certainly came from a summer rerun, with the ticket plug with new puzzleboard featured, as well as one of the sponsor plugs featuring "97" visible, and this oddly has a 1997 copyright date as well.
Those are some pretty thick accents by our families tonight, and R2 proved to be a big mess, even if the bonus answer was obvious pretty early. I do clearly remember the blue oval category graphics when it aired first-run (surprised they didn't have a Ford Explorer as one of the cars!) I'm a bit surprised that there's also a high school-aged contestant since few turn 18 until after the new year.
The BR featured a rare occurrence of PROPER NAME where only the last name is part of the puzzle. Anybody know of any other occurrences of this happening?

R2 kept baffling me, too, and it wasn't until the second missolve that I realized what was going wrong. If someone had guessed the D or S earlier in the game it probably would have saved some of that confusion.
I got the BR but anyone who is unfamiliar with classical music would have been stumped. Based on Alicia's reaction, I'm guessing she'd at least heard of him but wasn't making the connection.
