I love looking at how much Nashville has changed in 20 years. I'm down there almost every other weekend (if not more often). I love this town!

So, in trying to work out the visual changeover with the puzzleboard frame and Wheel font, the Nashville tapings occupy an interesting place: The new wheel font is in place, but the inner border on the puzzleboard is still the old golden "criss-cross"/diagonal grid design used since 1997 and not the gold marble effect that most other episodes from 2003 have.
The Nashville road shows are almost assuredly the last 3 weeks taped with that inner border.

Yes you’re correct about that. According to my records, six weeks of shows were taped in November and December 2002 with the new wheel font and puzzleboard border. The Nashville shows taped in January 2003. In my digizing process I came across a closing chat from the end of this season where Pat bets Vanna a dollar that they have a different puzzleboard at home at Sony than they take on the road. Vanna think it’s the same one and Harry responds that they are different! So in this case it seems they updated the home one and not the road one by this point. We know they used a stripped down version of the newer style board for the San Diego shows that Spring.
