Production on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune has begun. The first confirmed contestant is actor Kevin Nealon, best known for SNL and Weeds. He posted this photo to his Instagram story today, showing some nice set upgrades for Wheel's primetime debut. For one, the Wheel and board borders are orange and pink instead of the blue and purple we're used to. A new structure has been built to surround the center stage screen, golden arches have been added to the set to replace the thinner LED ones, and the glass Wheel cutouts seen in Seasons 26-27 have been brought back. They have also added a third border to the board, and the steps now have LED strips to match the pillars behind the board.

Looks quite nice! I always liked the glass wheel cutouts. I wonder how many of these elements will carry over to the main show either later this season or next season.

Upgrades look amazing; I’m hoping we could get a theme change for the occasion, like Jeopardy did with the GOAT. Maybe a majestic version of Changing Keys, because the current theme, in my opinion, doesn’t match the primetime vibe. Probably unlikely, though.

(whistles) Looks beautiful. Definitely a good update we needed for a few years now. Hope some of the changes carry over to the main show in Season 39 like how some of Jeopardy’s set changes for the GOAT tournament carried over to Season 37.

The color scheme reminds me of the Australian Million Dollar Wheel of Fortune in '08.

I definitely approve of the gold trim and brighter colors. A change for the better to be sure.
