This is Armed Forces Week!

As a special week, contestants will be picked from the audience. The one who solves the puzzle will play another round, while the other two are eliminated.

The top winner of all the contestants will play in the Bonus Round!

The first contestant names will be drawn from a fish bowl by Bob, and we start with...

Karen Brosha: An Air Force wife; she and her husband are stationed at George Air Force Base
Terry Neill: Master sergeant from the Marines (though not currently wearing his uniform)
Barry Davis: From the Army, stationed at Fort Irwin in California

Karen calls Bob "Sir". "Oh, don't call me sir! We're both civilians here!"

The top-dollar value on the Wheel is $500, and we are playing for cash.

This trio also has a chance at a prize! We start with a Shanes Jewelry amethyst and 14-karat gold necklace (labeled JEWEL) worth $500.

There's a reason this show has been on so long.

The main thing that bugs me about the elimination setup is that they don't use the Round 4 layout for the entire game. It puts the early winners at a slight disadvantage.

Still, it was a unique way to play.
