Wheel has recently announced on its website two new tape dates, July 28th and 29th. However, their 1-800 number (not the 818 number) for requesting audience tickets gives future dates for tapings, up until Sept. 1st, and since airfare is cheaper around August to Sept., my family is planning on going around this time. Can tickets be requested now even if the dates are still far off?

I would imagine so. The website says to use the 818 number for the tapings on the 28th and 29th, but it doesn't say that the 800 number is restricted to those two dates. The website also says that you can send your request by mail, and to let them know when you wish to attend, so I would say that yes...you can probably request tickets for future dates.
Can you possibly post what those tapedates are (or send to me via private message) so I can add them to the Calendar? Much appreciated!

As requested, here are the other dates that were mentioned:
August 18, 19
August 31, Sept. 1
Now, I may have mixed up these dates with the Jeopardy tape dates since they were mentioned along with the Wheel tapings, but I'm pretty sure that these are correct.
