I know there have been a lot of separate threads here discussing Australia's version of Wheel, but I think it would be nice if the mods can merge them all into one thread - maybe perhaps this one. With that being said, an episode from June 28, 1996 (a Friday) has popped up the other day. A four-lined Puzzle Board, the Goodie wedge, a recolored Surprise wedge, and even a blue $600 replacing a Bankrupt in Round 2 all make an appearance here in one of John Burgess' final episodes of Aussie Wheel.

For those who remember the November 1995 fly incident in Seattle, well Surprise! The fly came back and somehow ended up crashing Australia's set five years later! I know Wheel of Fortune is very popular, but I didn't know flies also love it.

The new "Aussie" version with Graham Norton and Aussie expats in London is being dumped over the summer, will be airing in December/January

I found another picture over at Instagram which helped me figure out more of the values on Australia's new Wheel. www.instagram.com/channel10au/p/C7Cy09hhXxc/?img_index=7I quickly noticed something, and that something is in regards to those £225 spaces on the British layout ($175 anyone?). On the Australian layout, both of those spaces will each be valued at only $100. As that's the only difference in regards to Wheel values as far as I can tell, I'm expecting that to be the only difference in gameplay overall between the British and Australian versions. |
