Hi everybody, I'm whammy007, otherwise known as Scott. I'm currently a graduate student going for my master's degree in mathematics.
I've been watching Wheel since a very young age (young enough that I couldn't give you a definite number). When my family moved from Florida to Missouri about 12 years ago, I lost my access to the program for a number of years (rural area = poor TV reception
). However, now that I have a way to view it once more, I like to watch the first-run episodes and play along.
One of my life goals is to be involved with this program (and Jeopardy too) in some way. Whether that would be as an audience member or contestant or (by some miracle) a crew member, I don't yet know. But if I do get a chance to chat with the big shots, I would let them know that as a viewer, I think they have a great show, but it needs a little more spice to it every now and then to lessen the feeling of it becoming a "formula" program because what makes Wheel great is the fact that it's a different game every time due to the aspect of luck in the wheel. The 80's shows were positively electric with that excitement, and I still feel it now and then, but it's a lot more subdued than it was.
I hope to get to know all of you a lot better going forward and to be a valued contributor to the forums. While I don't have a big tape collection or great artsy skills, I have lots of ideas and a lot of love for this great show.
