In the post-game, Pat and Vanna have the official Wheel of Fortune reference guide, "Ed's Dictionary". They look up "goulash" because Pat realizes that it just means a hodgepodge of ingredients nowadays.
According to the guide, goulash is a stew of beef or veal and vegetables, seasoned with paprika. Vanna always thought it was elbow macaroni, hamburger, meat, and tomatoes...but the audience is not impressed. "The audience would boo Vanna's goulash?"
