Is this the first time in the entire franchise that somebody didn't get a single turn, besides Toss-Ups, in an entire game? In the first half, Cheryl never got to spin because Rounds 1 and 2 were solved before she could get a turn, and since TTU is played before R3, that too was solved before control could pass to her.

An enjoyable show tonight, some great interaction between Jason and The Miz. Weird they used Changing Keys as the theme song but otherwise all of the music and cues were from last season. A little surprised there were no real adjustments made to gameplay from season 1 at all.
Jason just did excellent work on the puzzles besides his missolve, and The Miz wasn't so bad himself. Poor Cheryl, she barely got any chance on the wheel including not spinning at all in the first game. That situation is a case for either making each game four rounds like the regular show.
I thought they were going to play another round in the first game, but as it turned out they played a 4th round in the second.

Reminder that all of CWOF Season 2 was taped in May and June 2021. Season 39 didn't start taping until July.

The music is the same as Season 1 except for the theme. They probably hadn't refreshed the music yet when this taped because this was taped a month before the syndicated show began taping Season 39. The music was refreshed this season not due to expiring rights so that would probably be why they are leaving the previous music alone despite this first airing after the music was changed.
Jason and Michael were funny. I laughed every time Michael said he knows that Jason knew it. I also laughed when Jason was duplicating his letters on purpose in the BR to be consistent.
BR of Game 1 was hard. Had POPULAR but not the other word. Other word was hard
In TU2 of Game 2 the syndicated version of the Toss Up solve cue was used instead of the celebrity version.
He was $2000 away from $100,000 and won $100,000 in the bonus round. Crazy
This is the first time both games were won by the same contestant.

All I could say is that Jason cleaned up. Nice MDW poses!
And yes, the men were fun.
The first BR was maybe a bit too hard for this version, but I was easily able to RSTLNE the second one.
This is a 9/10.

Ooh, I love this "gold" template design! The recap is also as mobile friendly for me as it is with the normal dark template. I wouldn't have thought to make it gold, but that was a great idea!
Now... POPULAR CLIQUE? That one's difficult even for the syndicated show.

I enjoyed the second-season premiere of Celebrity Wheel.
In terms of gameplay, Jason cleaned up, although he and the Miz had the battle at times. Too bad Cheryl didn’t have much of a shot, but the men were real sports for cheering her on.
I got both of the first rounds (the Movie Quote and Show Biz puzzles) and the fourth round of the second game with just the first letter. And speaking of firsts, it’s very interesting to see a celebrity win both games, an extra round, and a $6,000 Final Spin on the celebrity edition.
As for the mix of old and new music … I’m OK with it.
I nailed both Bonus Round puzzles with RSTLNE, and while a C might have given Jason a shot at the first one (although CLIQUE is a hard word), he didn’t need the hot vowel of O in the second to win $100K!
