It's hard to believe but we've completed another season! I've seen Season 7 ever since it was first-run, but its still one of the most exciting seasons of the show much like how Season 13 bookended the "returning champs" era. The final days of the Free Spin Wedge and the days where the Free Spin could still be picked up without calling a letter in its early days as a token, the 300+ studio that's better known at the time on another show were games like Make Your Move and 2 For The Price Of 1 were played for the first time, the new sound effects at the time that are still in use now, and of course that smooth jazz rendition of Changing Keys. It really showed how much the show had evolved in just a decade as we just witnessed with Season 17, which even at the time seemed "refreshingly retro" when I caught the GSN reruns of it.
Still, Season 17 had more than its share of big winners, road trips to New York and Universal Orlando, the popular Retro Week, and the launch into the digital age with its .com sweepstakes! Thanks as always for posting these.
