I can't make out the design of the car. "GT250" is only giving me results for a Ferrari from the 60s. Anyone able to figure it out?

It's a replica by a customs company in the late 80s called Bonita Designs, exactly as read in Charlie's copy. The model seen on the show is a replica of the late 50s-early 60s Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder. No Ferrari branding for legal reasons most likely (especially so there was zero confusion whether this was a genuine Ferrari product).
The Ferrari originals are some of the more expensive cars on the collector's market, often fetching 7 figures, so I can absolutely believe that a replica quality-enough to be insurable and offered on late 80s Wheel was valued at $55K.
