Wow, so much for keeping it under wraps

Very happy for Melissa Joan Hart and her charity for her huge win in the first game. My first childhood celebrity crush (after Vanna) won the million! Wish Clarissa Explains it All got a mention during the show, but oh well.

I was thinking the Speed-Up puzzle in the second game would be One MILLION rather than BILLION also. Even though it was actually billion it still felt like they used that puzzle just because of Melissa's win in game 1.

Nice that Lacey won game 2 after she cruised through the first game until round 3 and was definitely the best player of the night despite Melissa's big win. Too bad she got stuck with a very tricky bonus puzzle, one that should've been put in the syndicated version not CWOF.

All I can say about this episode (especially the first game) is … WOW.

Lacey was a good puzzle solver, but Melissa’s $1M win was the highlight of the night. Although I’m bummed that Wheel spoiled it in the promos, it’s still nice to see! But the second game proved how difficult it is to follow up such a feat. As for Tituss … he was fun to watch as well, but he seemed nervous.

I no-lettered TTU1 in the first game and got TTU2, R2, and R4 (as well as R2 in the second game) just as fast. But if R4 was ONE MILLION DOLLARS … “oh, the irony” would’ve been a puzzle. I caught both Bonus Puzzles elsewhere before I saw them on TV. I’m not sure what combo would’ve helped Lacey in her BR.

My ratings
First episode: 10! (maybe an 11?)

I noticed that the PG rating did not contain the L in it...that's probably why puzzle writing this season seemed more restrictive.

Lacey definitely was the best player out there (despite losing the BR in the 2nd game), but congrats to Melissa Joan-Hart for being the first celebrity millionaire on this show!

I figured out the second bonus round puzzle quite easily... of course, I know the types of puzzles the show writes, especially once they give the million dollars away.

We never saw the promos spoiling the million dollar win, but as soon as Melissa took the wedge to the bonus round in the first game, my fiancee was like "she's gonna win the million isn't she" after we were discussing just how difficult some of the other bonus rounds this season have been, almost as if they had been taped after a million dollar win...
