If she knew, she could've taken the Ford Bronco. Janet still leaves with $17,400 in cash and trip.

In the final segment, Pat notes that even after all these years on the air, buying a vowel is still one of the most misunderstood strategies. Why do people do it? It's the most important thing you can do. It's not a guarantee, but if you buy, you have a better chance of winning. Pat and Vanna have been there every night, so they know.

They got the "bad" captioner today. Other errors in the intro alone:

"I'll tell you, we gotta keep him locked up." --> "We are going to keep him locked up."
"Your puzzle board's over there." --> "And you're supposed to go over there."

Also, the TV-G bug disappeared when Pat and Vanna walked on, but it reappeared when it cut to Jim.

Well it was nice getting a couple of Halloween themed puzzles and they don't need to go overboard with them, but I do wish they decorated the set for the week.

Wow, I did not see the meta themed BR puzzle coming. Contestants never actually say they BOUGHT a vowel though, just BUY a vowel.

Finally got around to watching the entire thing (I did catch a glimpse of R1 while DoorDashing to a hotel).

Dissappointed that the show didn't do a proper Halloween week, but I guess a couple of themed puzzles will do.

The first segment pretty much did it for Janet. But if Natalie actually solved the final Toss-Up (or gone for the T's in the PP Round), she would've won.

Jerrad actually emailed Andy Nguyen for tips to prepare for his taping day. Too bad he won just $3K.

BR: Cute meta puzzle (yeah, it's not a Phrase, but it made me giggle). I got it with RSTLNE and correctly predicted that would be a loss.

Janet was fortunate that the first round was all she needed to win the game. Had Natalie swept the Triple Toss-Ups, she might have stolen the victory. She impressed me with her solve in R3.

I no-lettered BOO in R1 and got the next three main rounds with the first couple of letters. I also solved the rather ironic BR with RSTLNE. Maybe the O’s would’ve given Janet a shot.
