S39, EPISODE #7458
Airdate: 10/27/21
Go!
I did not get an ADRENALINE RUSH today (hence the lateness of this recap), but Lisa's in the money first.
Midweek panel:
Lisa Busch: Long Beach. History and psychology teacher at Lakewood High School who's married to Tom for almost 25 years (also a teacher at that school) with a daughter in grad school (Alli, 22) and stepson (Jake, 30). She, her hubby, her daughter and her stepson all went to that same school.
Darilyn Harrell: Oakland. Army vet (medic for 7 years in Army) who not works as a nurse at Children's Hospital in Oakland. Married to Orlando for 25 years with 2 kids (aged 40 & 41)
Jordan Costa: San Diego. Sales worker for a health & wellness company who's married to Amanda (they celebrated their 10th anniversary) who created & published a Corgi coloring book based on his Corgi. He also loves to stand-up paddleboard (and the Corgi goes with him).
Go!
Jordan rightly says THE FEELING IS MUTUAL.
Yes, his Corgi is licking the screen right now...
WHEEL PRIZE: trip to Aldrich Guest House in Galena, IL (marked Bed & Breakfast), value unknown
Category chyron didn't immediately appear...until the first spin.
PERFECTION! Yes, Jordan, MONSTER is indeed that last word.
MYSTERY ROUND
$10,000 SPONSOR: Prevagen
Given that there's only one of RSTLNE, I assumed there was at least one null.
Jordan recites CANDYMAN, CANDYMAN, CANDYMAN, CANDYMAN. So silly, yet so rich...
AIRED DUDS: R (Lisa), A (Darilyn)
And apparently, if you say it a fifth time, he comes out...
The 13th blank took a bit longer to appear.
Now Jordan will take his new luggage (but not his Corgi, unfortunately) to A TROPICAL PLAYGROUND; this "Playground" being ANTIGUA (Pineapple Beach Club, FlightGuru; $7,460).
DUD: E (Darilyn)
TRIPLE TOSS-UP
Go!
Darilyn's DRAWING A PICTURE to finally be on the board.
Go!
Lisa's DRAWING A STICK FIGURE.
Go!
Jordan's DRAWING A BATH, so everyone gets a share. On another note, how many of you thought it would be DRAWING A LINE?
DING DING! DING DING!
...and no more time.
FINAL SPIN (Lisa): $1,700
I'M A WORD NERD and Jordan's beaten the buzzer.
DUD AFTER BELL: L (Darilyn)
LOSE A TURN: Jordan
FINAL SCORES
WINNINGS SO FAR: $45,610
NO BANKRUPTS!

RSTLNE gives Jordan four to start:
CHDO fills in some of the bottom...
PROFOUND is right, but it won't be NITE, FIRST or MOST. It's not QUITE PROFOUND that Jordan lost out on $39,000. Then again, he won a bit more, so it's no big deal.
JORDAN’S FINAL TOTAL: $40,610 ($32,150 plus the luggage and the Antigua trip)
Yesterday was Pat's birthday. He read the obituaries that night and went to bed if his name's not there.
Full credit roll in the end.
