This was something just came to mind for me, especially as it relates to one of the games most important elements and with how frequently the minimum amount is spun.
With the season minimum ticking over to $40,000 for next season when it comes around, should the other big amounts on the Bonus Wheel be upgraded?
As we all know the current amounts are
Season minimum
$45,000
$50,000
$100,000/$1m
CAR
Should a new amount be added in between? Such as a $75,000 envelope in between the $50,000 and the $100,000.
Interested to hear your thoughts!

I honestly was cheering for them to get rid of the season minimum once Mike Richards took over: although it’s better for someone getting the BR, as a viewer, I doubt many people would feel significantly more excited over $25,000 being won instead of $38,000.
$75k would be nice, but if you increase the average expected value on the wheel, you’re going to get more puzzles like WAVY LAGOON, so I’d prefer they took a step back.

Yeah, Family Feud, Let's Make A Deal, and a lot of ABC's primetime efforts have proven that high dollar amounts aren't necessary for a good time. I'd rather see someone win $25,000 in the bonus round like 3 or 4 times a week, versus making the puzzles so stupid hard that we see only 1 larger win.

I was hoping for the season minimum to be gone too after Mike Richards took over as EP. And in my honest opinion, despite not watching Wheel of Fortune for a while since the debut of the Season Minimum gameplay, it just didn't look right. So, I agree and hope that next season, something will change next season and they'll make $40,000 the permanent minimum in the bonus round afterwards. |
