She had a co-worker named Joely on the show, and she did so well that it inspired Valerie to come here! Her mother is a world champion in rhythm gymnastics, and competition is in Valerie's blood.
Codi Johnson: From San Diego, CA; social media specialist (knows the tricks but doesn't buy followers); is married for 2 years and has one boy. She's involved in athletics, used to play soccer, took walks on the beach, and started taking kayaking classes. She also believes she had a past life as a mermaid...but she has no fins.
Steve Martinez: From Los Angeles, CA; U.S. Air Force veteran who has traveled a lot, and he was a financial specialist. He had the opportunity to live overseas in Guam during his time in the service, and he lived in Thailand (but not while in service). He's also a freelance clarinetist with a bachelor's and master's degree and a doctorate in education, and he plays with local orchestras and operas as well as musical theatre.

In the final segment, Pat recalls a brilliant idea that he had last Thanksgiving. It's a tough day with all that cooking, and everyone loves leftovers. So you cook all the stuff on Wednesday, and everyone has "leftovers" on Thanksgiving Day! They're easy to fix, and again, everyone loves leftovers.
