Has anyone noticed that the current design of the name tags have NOT changed since the debut of the new Puzzleboard in 1997? I mean, from my perspective, there were times when I thought the design of the tags would be updated after a period of time. But that doesn't appear to be the case. Although, there's no denying the name tags have changed over the course of Wheel's 39 years in Syndication.
The first one I remember was the silver rhumboid shaped design from the CBS era, which carried on into the Sony era until the last night of the old Puzzleboard in Phoenix, Arizona in 1997. However, I never noticed the original ones from the NBC era until I started watching a few episodes from the 6th season of Wheel of Fortune on GSN back in 2003. Nevertheless, I thought those looked cool too!
So my question is: Do you think the name tags will be updated to a new design in the future?
