Recap posted. Just an okay game compared to yesterday.

Now...even if it was just $39,000, that probably would've been the same puzzle. The last two $100K puzzles were easy enough, but I couldn't get this one. I had HUMOR immediately, but I couldn't think of anything that would work for the first word.

As for the other two categories? The Person probably would've been QUIRKY GUY, and the Place an adjective/noun with no RSTLNE in the second word.

As much as I want to lose my temper and shout in rage about that $100,000 BR loss on this episode, I will need to refrain from doing that on these boards because it would be considered childish and going over the top to post an angry tirade like that here.

With the two Bankrupts to start off I had a feeling we'd be in for a long night, and the bonus round result confirmed that.

Having --MOR made HUMOR pretty easy to figure out, but QUIRKY was tough to think of without more help. Ugh, another $100,000 loss

R4 was right – it was indeed a tight match in the front game until the jovial Rob padded his lead. (And I solved the PP and TTU3 pretty fast.)

I could only get the second word of the BR, and yikes – QUIRKY cost Rob dearly.

Well, all three players scored decently considering the onslaught of penalties (2 immediate BANKRUPTs pretty much means we’re in for a long night). I’ve also noticed less theming in the main game (specifically the first Toss-Up). And that’s pretty much all of the positive stuff I’ll have to say here.

BTW, who else thought the cruise was going to be in Europe? Only me?

Now for the bad.

Aside from the penalty hits (there’s been too many of that lately), R4 does NOT qualify as Fun & Games. Maybe it’s because Phrase was already used, but it still qualifies as terribly mis-categorized and stupid end-of-game theming.

And then…the ugly.

For the bonus puzzle (which I got with picks), the show does come prepared with a list of puzzles to use for the episode. It would definitely be the same puzzle had $39K shown up instead. Still, I think Rob shot himself in the foot with that category pick.
