I'm not sure if this is the appropriate section for this to be posted, but I'd like to ask: How would you like to produce a "Decades Week" for Wheel?
It may be a little tricky, but if you were to be a producer on the show, what adjustments or additions would you opt to make within the format in order to efficiently produce a "Decades Week" for Wheel if ever?
Here are some ideas I have: They're supposed to start in the 80s on Monday. They could decorate the border of the puzzleboard with the classic golden border, display the background of the unused glittery side of the trilons in place of the marble screen they have now, and use the classic font for the letter slides. The Tuesday show would then feature the 90's, and I'll lean towards the carrying over of yesterday's board design as the switch to the touch screens was only 3 years away from the turn of the new millennium. The 2000's to the 2020's would feature the present style of the puzzleboard.
As for the wheel, they could use classic fonts and color schemes but retain the same values as in the current season. The eggcrate displays they used for the scenes on Fresh Off The Boat would be perfect for them to use on the 80's and 90's shows.
One thing that I'm curious about, though, is how they'll use themes and cues for the entire week. Any ideas?

I do wonder if they actually would incorporate any gameplay elements, wheel wedges, and cues from the decades or if they would just show clips and otherwise make no real attempt at replicating. But these are some things I'd do for each decade that are no longer currently used:
80s: No Toss-ups, Gold puzzleboard border, find a way to change the puzzleboard screens so it looks like Vanna is turning the letters, incorporate shopping, for the wheel prize tags use the name of the prize with the yellow background, Free Spin, and the contestant picks their prize for the bonus round.
90s: No Toss-ups, Gold puzzleboard border, the original wheel prize tags, make it look like Vanna's turning letters for the first half of the show, use the Surprise and $10,000 wedges, Jackpot, Free Spin, use the W-H-E-E-L bonus round.
2000s: Use the $10,000 wedge, Jackpot, and Free Play wedges
2010s: Free Play wedge and 1/2 Car tags
2020s: All current elements used

The most practical idea would be using puzzles from a certain decade for each day. I would still keep the Toss-Ups and current elements (and not bring back the retired elements) throughout the week but give them a retro feel for the earlier time periods. As for the Wheel's color scheme, that may prove to be a headache provided they're using a whole bunch of templates that will only be used once, but I'm not saying they won't. They may alter the color scheme for the whole week rather than each day of the week. As for the set, brighter colors to resemble the earlier time periods and give the set's center a touch-up to resemble the old shopping turntable.

As much as I would appreciate shopping for the 80s, I'd just reduce its homage to a Shopping Spree prize wedge. I'd even leave in the Prize Puzzle, but instead of a trip, make it a gift certificate/gift card to a major retailer. Besides, there was no shopping from October 1987 onwards on this version, which isn't an insignificant portion of the decade. Use some of the pre-1989 sound effects/cues if possible for the buzzer, Bankrupt, and the drumroll for the bonus round. I'd love to see the old font for the text on the Puzzleboard for the '80s and '90s shows. Every other decade did have the PP had some point, even in the '90s for a brief period in Season 15.
For the cues:
-Use the 1983-89 version of Changing Keys for the '80s, along with the Jeopardy! 1978 and 1983 shopping music as cues -Use the 1992-94 version of Changing Keys for the '90s for the open, the 1994-97 theme for the closing, along with Buzzword and A Time For Tony as cues -Use the 2001-06 version of Happy Wheels for the '00s, with any prize cues used during that decade. A saxophone cue that sounds a little like the "You better watch out, you better not pout" from Santa Claus Is Coming To Town is one of the cues introduced later in that decade for instance. -Use the 2008-16 "rock" cue for the opening, and the 2017-21 closing theme for the '10s -Use the current package of course for the '20s
For the Free Spin, I'd actually use it instead of Free Play for the 2000s since Free Play was only around for the last few months of that decade. Make the '80s Free Spin a Wedge that can be picked up instead of a token. Finally, for the 2020s, perhaps use an all-new element if possible such as Double/Half wedges, Super Bankrupt, or perhaps a TDV wedge higher than $5000.
Finally, perhaps include contestants who came of age that respective decade, meaning they graduated high school or college then, and it would especially be nice to see songs like "Poker Face" and "Black Hole Sun" show up as puzzles. It could easily be used for Season 41 premiere week since the show would be entering its fifth decade, although since Pat is hitting that mark now, any time would be fine.

A Decades week would be a great idea. If they do a 90s week, they should bring back the Jackpot Round. Also I would love to see them use the 1997 version of “Changing Keys.”
