It's not a "technical win" unless Sony is the one paying for the car. Here, it looks like Audi is offering a free car.

It may not be a "technical win" for stats stuff for whoever gives a bother, but it's damned sure a major PR black eye for Wheel and Sony Pictures Television in a year where they don't need ANY additional black eyes.

Well it looks like Audi is coming out as the biggest winner from this.

According to Kennise from Monday's episode, there was a stopdown before the ruling. The fact they did a 10-minute stopdown only makes Pat's awkward and kinda-vague explanations worse. They needed to give him some legalese-type thing from the official rules to read off of. it's damned sure a major PR black eye for Wheel and Sony Pictures Television in a year where they don't need ANY additional black eyes. They really need to stop hitting themselves.

Well, they're not going to stop just yet. This Sunday's rerun of CWOF is the episode with Jeff Garlin. Although the episode is notable for Amber Riley winning both Bonus Rounds and over $200K, it became infamous for Jeff Garlin's obnoxious behavior and constant interruptions throughout the episode, and now he's left The Goldbergs (to the alleged applause of his cast and crew mates) after multiple reports of abusive on-set behavior. I thought for sure they would swap it out with another episode, but they have not. WOF and Sony are going to catch even more heat for this, although this one is more ABC's fault.

This just got me thinking that if they switch back to mostly one-word bonus puzzles like in the 90's, Sony wouldn't have this problem.

It could still be swapped, or the channel guide listings just haven't been updated yet.

It seemed like Michael would run away with the game, but Shelly came on strong towards the end, and one round was all it took for Charlene.
I solved the last three words of R1 with no letters and solved the next two rounds just as fast. And isn’t BRAINTEASERS two words?
But then the BR… hoo boy. I remember watching contestants’ pauses in this round, but I didn’t expect them to garner so much backlash. Poor Charlene. (But I’m glad she won the car after all.)
My rating: 6

The incident has somehow resurfaced this week and the show is once again getting vitriol online. The media is falsely reporting that this episode reran last Tuesday. If Wheel knows what's good for them, this episode will never rerun again, not even if GSN ever picks up S39. The SEVEN SWANS A-SWIMMING, CORNER CURIO CABINET, IT'S OUT OF THE WAY, MYTHOLOGICAL HERO ACHILLES, and the most infamous of the "lost due to adding AND" incidents never reran in syndication, either (though the S31 ones did on GSN).
